Children’s Pack

Support a child with a pack to help them settle into their new environment

Children’s Pack

When a family leaves domestic abuse, the children often leave their things behind. They often miss their familiar environment, friends, families, school and are scared, lonely and confused.
To help the children settle into their new environment we are asking for help to purchase a children’s pack. This could include:

A comfort toy
Arts & Crafts Activities
School Uniform
Items for school
Attendance at an after school activity, such as football, rugby, gymnastics

Support a family with a pack to help them get started in their new home

Independence Pack

After spending time in refuge, families start to rebuild their lives and are ready to move on to their new home.
To help these families with their new independence, we help with:

Moving costs
Small household items (kettle, saucepans, microwave etc)
Money for initial electric and gas

Help a family have the necessities when they arrive in refuge

Support to Stay in a Refuge

Families often arrive at refuge, distressed, frightened and wearing the clothes that they stand in.
As a team we ensure that the family has the basics which could include:

Toothbrush and Toothpaste
Towel
Underwear
Pyjamas
Sanitary products and other toiletries
Nappies and children’s nightwear and underwear
Nappies, bottles & powdered milk
Fresh food necessities such as Bread, Milk, eggs and cheese

This allows the family to start to rebuild their lives after leaving the abuse.
