Vale Domestic Abuse Services’ Inaugural International Women’s Day Gala Dinner
International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. #IWD2025
‘Together, We Thrive’
Following the incredible success of our International Women’s Day event last year, we’re gearing up for something even bigger in 2025.
On March 7th, Vale Domestic Abuse Services will host its inaugural Fundraising Gala Dinner at The Bear, Cowbridge — an unforgettable evening to celebrate the strength, unity, and resilience of women.
The theme of the gala dinner is ‘Together, We Thrive’.
Our goal is to raise £5,000 to provide essential aftercare and recovery for survivors through our ‘Thrive’ Service, which includes counselling, one to one support, therapeutic groupwork and wellness events. ‘Thrive’ helps women build self-esteem and support networks, enabling them to break the cycle of abuse and live a life where they are no longer just surviving, they are thriving.
In the past year alone, Vale Domestic Abuse Services supported over 1,200 women in the Vale of Glamorgan. The need for our services continues to grow, and your support can make a real difference in their lives.
“Thrive helped me to become stronger again. In a matter of months, I began making a new life for myself and my children. I now have a home of my own with my kids, and a job that I love.” – Survivor testimony
